Are you desperately wanting to be loved?

We live in a world where it’s extremely hard to fight sexually temptation because it’s every where you turn, in TV, Music, books, movies, ads, school, work, social media, and the internet.

My generation is one filled with money hungry desires and sexual conquests. If you were never that type of person, society has probably changed your views. When your constantly submerged in a world with these things you start to accept them and conform.11989010_916415301744964_734654743_n

There is a bible verse that I recently saw that had me humble myself, which is something what we all need to do, because if we don’t we will lose ourselves to this world.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to discern what is the good, pleasing, and the perfect will of God. — Romans 12:21573857-bigthumbnail

Not everything you see and think you can do is okay, because the world has accepted it. Having a mind of your own is something that is lost in this world. People flock to what everyone thinks is “hot” or “lit” at the moment. Why is it that you can’t decide what “hot” or not without social influences?

We desperately want to be loved by everyone. But what about loving yourself, and putting yourself above others? Women are known to give themselves (mind, body, and soul) to a man that doesn’t respect them; all because she’s yearning to be loved. Some women come from troubled homes, with parents who neglected them, and didn’t show enough affection while growing up. It’s not uncommon for us women to look for that in a man to fill those holes that are missing. I am not saying it’s completely wrong to do that, however it’s wrong when you give that man all your power.

When I think of sex, I believe it should be something special that two consenting adults share with one another. Its a mental and physical connection that explodes into a deeper connection. Men and some women don’t respect the purpose that sex was created for, and take it to a level where I constantly hear “ it doesn’t matter what my body count is, as long as I aint hurting anyone, I’m good.”

*Please respect my personal opinion*

Sex is something that people do to explore their bodies, however for MYSELF I don’t want a high body count (large number of sexual partners)

Being in the millennial generation, we don’t value each other enough to be honest about our intentions, and overall feelings. We use others to get what we want and move on with our lives, as if we didn’t affect someone else.

Are bantu knots appropriate???

Are you struggling to get the perfect bantu knots? Watch this step by step tutorial below.

Enjoy!

Do you consider bantu knots to be a style prep or an actual hairstyle that you can wear out? If you have ever watched the “Orange is the New Black” Netflix series, you know that Crazy Eyes is well known for always keeping her hair in bantu knots. Since then many females, even celebrities have been seen wearing them regularly.

Screen Shot 2016-02-20 at 1.45.02 AMI always thought of them as a “home” hairstyle. I personally would wear them only to create another style, but not as a style itself. I wouldn’t look cute wearing them out in the streets, as others do.

Now that natural hair is becoming more socially acceptable, do you think that bantu knots are appropriate for the workplace? Most jobs prefer hairstyles that are clean, slicked back, or straight, and in a ponytail. Companies complain that some natural hairstyles are distracting, and too exotic looking. But how is it right for people to think that the hair that grows out of our head is not professional????

I find that White people are “perceived” as being more closed off to textured hair because they are not used to seeing something that is not the typical norm.

Some are known to even ask intrusive questions, such as “How do you get your hair like that? “Can I touch it?” How long did it take you to do?” “How long does it last?” “How do you wash your hair?” etc.

Whenever I am asked certain questions about my hair, I wonder if the person is genuinely interested in learning about it, or are they just low key judging me. Have you ever felt that way?

Natural hair discrimination in the professional world has been going on for years, and is a serious topic that needs to be discussed so a change can be enforced.

Our hair, as it grows out of our head, is NOT unprofessional, it is apart who we are, and the styles we choose is a form of self expression.

HOW TO INSTALL FAUX LOCS

If you are looking for a new protective style to change-up your look or just to protect your hair for a moment, faux locs might be the style for you.

Many girls have a love/ hate relationship with faux locs. Some have said that they have been damaging to their hair, and it doesn’t help that the process typically takes about 6-12 hours to do. I personally have had faux locs in the past and I have NO MAJOR complaints about it. I LOVED this style. I didn’t have any damage to my hair like some other people experienced. (Major Key: Ladies know when to take your hairstyles OUT, everything has an expiration date!)

There many different ways to install this style, and I think crochet braids are the easiest way to get them done under 6 hours. Crochet braids require minimal effort to install and they are less damaging to your hair than other protective styles.

You can wash faux locs just as you would you own hair. Also, be sure to moisturize and oil your scalp weekly to protect your hair for the duration of your faux loc protective style.

First things first your going to need your packaged hair, a crochet needle, and a comb.

BEST PLACE TO EAT IN LONDON

NANDO’S

If you are a big chicken lover, get ready for your month to water, because Nando’s has the best Peri – Peri style chicken ever ! Nando’s is a Portuguese style restaurant in London. Since I’ve been in London I have been a repeat customer for weeks. I only order the Chicken thighs with a side of spicy rice, corn, mashed potatoes, and Wild Herb sauce. The amount of flavor in this meal is pure heaven. Nando’s special Wild Herb sauce gives the meat an extra kick. The meat is marinated in a lemon herb, and pepper. Hands down the best thing I’ve eaten in London. If your ever in London or near any of there other locations be sure to check them out!
